Conditions for Try-Outs

  1. Try-out sessions must be booked and confirmed by FORESYTE Stud CC (FORESYTE) in advance. 

  2. All riders shall wear suitable protective headgear, and shoes with heels, whilst on horseback. 

  3. In all dealings with horses, the welfare of the horse shall be paramount. All horses ridden during try-outs must be treated with the utmost care and respect. For this reason, FORESYTE agrees to the following conditions during the try-outs: ​

  • No horses shall be ridden more than 2 sessions per day. 

  • Sessions will last approximately 10 minutes per horse. 

  • Riders bringing Trainers/Advisors/Instructors who wish to ride the selected horses as well may do so but the overall time per horse shall remain at 10 minutes. 

  • The maximum height of jumps shall be 80cm, and the maximum width 100cm. A jump will be provided in the riding arena. The height of the jump will be determined by a FORESYTE staff member that will be present at all times. 

  • Horses will be available to riders for try out once only, regardless of wether the rider visits the farm for more than one day. 

  • FORESYTE reserves the right to deny a try-out based on the assessed skill and competency of the rider in relation to the nature of the specific horse.​​

 

4. No person who attends a try-out session or who is present on any property under the control of FORESYTE, shall have any claim of any nature whatsoever and however arising, now or in the future, (including, but not limited to the a foregoing, any claims for damage to or loss or destruction of any horse or other property or death or injury to such person) against FORESYTE or their staff or those providing a service out of any cause whatsoever. 

5. FORESYTE reserves the right of admission and shall be entitled at any stage to require any person to vacate with immediate effect any premises under its control 

6. All persons entering FORESYTE’S premises at 25 Pauline Crescent, Summerveld, Kwazulu Natal, South African and/or inspecting or trying out any horse on Auction do so entirely at their own risk.
